Join the Hunter Innovation and Science Hub on an awe-inspiring cosmic journey as part of #NationalScienceWeek 2023! This extraordinary evening of knowledge, innovation and flavour takes place at the iconic Newcastle Museum on Aug 20th.

We’re privileged to have on our expert panel the brilliant Donna Lawler, co-founder and Principal of Azimuth Advisory. As a renowned space lawyer, Donna brings her wisdom on commercial space activities and satellite communications. Expect a deep dive into the legal intricacies of space law!

Our panel also features Emeritus Professor Steven Freeland, a respected authority on international space law and policy. His expertise spans across various prominent roles within international space organisations and universities, promising invaluable insights into space resource activities and space mining.

And let’s not forget the co-founder and CEO of Magnitude.ioTed Tagami, former User Advisory Committee Education Chair at ISS US National Labs. Ted’s dedication to delivering the best ‘Return on Education’ and his numerous contributions to space-based educational initiatives make him a wealth of knowledge on space education.

The event is hosted by none other than Dr. Scott Sleap, a STEM pioneer and space industry expert. Dr. Sleap’s extensive work in space and STEM education has led him to collaborate with organisations such as NASA, Lockheed Martin, and the Australian Space Agency. His dedication to workforce development, education, and outreach makes him the ideal host to navigate us through the evening.

Join us in person or via live stream to learn, discuss, and network with some of Australia’s brightest minds. We’ll be serving up space-themed drinks and a stellar atmosphere!

This initiative is supported by Inspiring Australia as part of #scienceweek. Delivered by Sleap Business Consultants and Fizzics Education in collaboration with Hunter Innovation and Science Hub
