Register your team/s by selecting primary or secondary and category (cars or boats or both).
There is no additional charge for the cost of your kit. One will be provided to you for each team that you enter.
We will send your kit/s out to you with more information about how to build it/curriculum links.
Build your kit/s in the classroom and test in the playground to get ready for race day!

EVENT GOALS: To provide a hands on learning opportunity to the youth of our region that is both educational and fun.
To promote S.T.E.M careers by offering an exciting way for the students to capacity build and engage with science.
Encourage innovation, teamwork, entrepreneurialism and and skills development in solar vehicle design and construction.
Raise awareness of the various jobs available in S.T.E.M fields and present these as an attractive career pathway.
To stimulate interest in renewable energy sources, sustainable practices and being part of an environmental solution for Newcastle’s future.
